Atlantic Information Systems, Inc. is a project management consulting firm located south of Boston in Pembroke, MA. Recently, one of our clients has requested that we locate a Senior Project Manager to join their organization. Our client is a diversified international financial services organization focused on providing financial solutions to businesses as well as individuals throughout their lifetimes.

Works successfully with executive, managerial, technical, and business stakeholders to drive complex projects to successful completion. |
Position Responsibilities:
|
|
Responsible for planning and driving the successful completion of critical systems projects. Specific responsibilities of the Project Manager include the following:
- Primary management interface on 2 or more large and complex projects.
- Drives business problem definition and business requirement elaboration.
- Ensures that project objectives, approach, and deliverables are clearly defined, documented in a project plan, and agreed to by key stakeholders.
- Tracks and reports project progress against plans.
- Manages project variances by taking corrective action.
- Appropriately escalates appropriate issues impacting project cost, time, and scope.
- Manages relationships/work of external vendors/suppliers.
- Plays additional roles (e.g. analyst) as needed to get the project completed

Position Requirements: |
|
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in full lifecycle (from problem definition through implementation) IT project management.
- Experience in the management of complex systems implementation projects which involve new technology.
- Proven track record with planning, estimating, staffing, organizing and controlling complex, cross-functional projects according to plan.
- Demonstrated skill in helping business leaders clarify performance improvement objectives and translating those into a business case.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantifying business benefits, costs, and risks.
- Knowledge of different software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of business process redesign/re-engineering.
- Strong communication, influence, conflict management, and decision-making skills. Experience managing external vendors.
- Financial or insurance industry experience preferred
- BA/BS or equivalent experience - MBA a plus.
