Introduction:
Atlantic Information Systems, Inc. is a project management consulting firm located south of Boston in Pembroke, MA. Recently, one of our clients has requested that we locate a Project Manager to join their organization. Our client is a diversified international financial services organization focused on providing financial solutions to businesses as well as individuals throughout their lifetimes.

Position Summary:
The Project Manager plans, manages, and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of project(s) are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost parameters. The project manager will work on projects on behalf of Central Accounting.
The Project Manager plans, manages, and coordinates activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and cost parameters.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with coordination and delivery of Central Accounting initiatives
- Assists in support of project prioritization, budgeting, forecasting and other initiatives
- Works closely with Service Center IT Project Management and Corporate Accounting
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required plus more than five years relevant project experience
- Experience managing financial systems projects preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle General Ledger processes desired.
- Project planning and leadership skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and clearly and concisely express opinions, conclusions and recommendations.
- Project management certification a plus.
