

Account Manager

Introduction
Atlantic Information Systems, Inc. is a project management consulting company located south of Boston in Pembroke, MA. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team.
Position Overview
Atlantic Information Systems has just been awarded a three year contract to provide training to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Account Manager is responsible for selling AIS’ training courses and services to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts along with other new accounts as assigned. Also, this position will participate in the continued growth of existing accounts as well.
Work Status
Must be a US citizen.
Position Type
Flexible work schedule; initially part-time and migrating to full-time if desired.
Travel
Driving only within assigned territory.
Location
Most of the work will occur in the field or at the Account Manager’s home office. Once the Account Manager has come up to speed, travel to AIS’ corporate offices will be infrequent, on an as needed basis.
Position Responsibilities
- Utilize existing relationships and develop new ones to successfully sell AIS’ training courses to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Develop a territory sales plan and achieve all sales goals for new and repeat business.
- Follow up on leads generated by email campaigns and internal prospecting calls to close new business.
- Utilize existing professional network to generate leads and close new business.
- Develop and/or assist in the development of sales tools and direct marketing vehicles such presentations, email campaigns etc.
- Learn AIS’ professional services offerings.
- Establish a professional and productive working relationship with all clients and prospects.
- Bring forward ideas for new product and service offerings to meet current trends, and future opportunities.
- Ensure overall client satisfaction.
Position Requirements
- At least 5- 7 years of sales experience with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Prior experience selling to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or other government entities strongly desired.
- Prior experience selling training strongly desired.
- Prior experience selling other professional services such as business consulting, contract resources, permanent placements, etc. is a plus.
- Must be highly motivated, with a true desire to understand, and have a positive impact on, our client businesses.
- Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
- Must have a high level of organization.
- Willingness to learn basic Project Management required.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office.
- BS/BA or commensurate experience required.
