Training Projects
The following are a series of three representative training offerings designed, developed and delivered by AIS to solve specific client problems.
Training
Project #1
Problem: Projects were taking longer to complete than originally planned, resulting in over budget conditions that directly impacted the margin line.
Solution: AIS worked with the client and identified that the key issue was not requirements definition as had initially been believed, but was actually effective risk identification and contingency planning. AIS then developed a highly successful project management course that specifically focused on best practices in risk management and contingency planning, and included training on a Microsoft Project plug-in that automated the planning and scheduling of project contingency.
Training
Project #2
Problem: The organization was experiencing significant growth and was having difficulty properly planning, pricing and then executing new client implementations to meet internal margin targets.
Solution: AIS developed a best practices based project management course and then delivered it in multiple sessions to virtually everyone at the client site having client facing responsibilities. This resulted in everyone now having a common language, way of thinking about client projects and set of processes as it related to project management which in turn led to significant improvements to the success of their business delivery model.
Training
Project #3
Problem: This client wanted to provide advanced project management training for its most senior program and project managers that would have direct relevance and applicability to their work within the client organization.
Solution: Working with the client, AIS identified a series of key topics that senior project managers would gain the greatest benefit from: Project Management Communications, Project Management Leadership and Managing High Performance Teams. AIS then developed a set of three workshops to address each one specifically within the context of the client's environment. This also included the development of pre and post workshop assignments to further increase the likelihood of lessons learned being applied back at the place of work. The results were extremely successful.
